April 14 thru April 18, 2014

Campers will be engaged in the magic of Spring is Here! "La primavera llegó! while enhancing their thinking skills, improve vocabulary, comprenhension, and speaking proficiency in the Spanish language. Students will contrast season of spring in the United States and  Latin America countries. We will stimulate our campers' creativity as they make flowers, butterflies, birds, warms, frogs, squirrels with recyclable materials found at home and the natural envirotment. A group project called My Garden of flowers! "Mi Jardin de Flores" will be one of the highlights of this colorful theme.

Students will role play stories such as "We are Going on a Lion Hunt" in "Walking with Mother Nature" "Caminando con Madre naturaleza". Their fine motor skills will be developed through finger knitting, string games and crochet. From imagination and creative play, we move to "hands on learning;" campers will prepare avocado salsa, jell-o, lemonade and fruit salad. Students always have fun role playing a fruit salad shop using paper "money" while practicing their math skills in Spanish. Partcipants will get plenty of physical exercise with soccer, flag tag, floor hockey, and other games.
